Key Components
● High voltage switchgear
Responsible for input and disconnection of high voltage power supply.Key technical parameters include rated voltage (12kV, 24kV or 36kV) and short-circuit breaking capacity (25kA to 40kA).
● Transformer
Used to reduce high voltage to lower usable voltage.Parameters include capacity (ranging from 50kVA to 2500kVA), insulation class and efficiency (usually above 98%).
● Low Voltage Switchgear
Responsible for distributing power to end users and providing circuit protection.Components include circuit breakers, fuses and meters.Rated voltages range from 0.4kV to 1kV and rated currents up to 6300A, depending on the application.
● Enclosure
The enclosure of a box-type substation can provide physical protection and environmental sealing. Our products are generally IP54 or IP65 protection level design, outdoor and harsh environment has a high adaptability.
● Auxiliary Power System
This is for powering internal equipment (cooling fans, heaters and lighting).Parameters include rated voltage (220V or 110V AC/DC) and power capacity.
● Cooling System
Ensure that transformers and other components operate within thermal limits.Cooling mode can be natural air cooling (AN) or forced air cooling (AF), please judge according to load capacity and environment.
● Protection and Control System
It contains relays, control units and monitoring devices for the safety and stability of the system.Protection settings require current and voltage thresholds that apply to the entire system.
● Earthing System
Provides critical safety against electric shock and ensures fault current dissipation. The grounding system consists of galvanized steel or copper tape designed for low resistance, below 1Ω in most installations.
Installation
There are several key steps to the installation of the Geographic Box-Type Substation.
1. Site Selection and Preparation
The site needs to be flat, stable and well drained. But also to meet the safety clearance and access requirements, please choose according to your actual situation.
2. Foundation Construction
Construct reinforced concrete foundations to support the weight of the substation and ensure structural stability.
3. Positioning and Assembly
The box is placed on the foundation using lifting equipment and secured against mechanical forces with bolts or anchors.
4. Electrical Connection
Connect the incoming and outgoing cables to the high and low voltage terminals.Pay attention to the grounding must be correct, is very important to the system safety.
5. Testing and Commissioning
Complete Installation Perform insulation resistance tests, calibration of protective relays and functional checks on all components. Before powering up the substation, it is a good idea to reconfirm your local electrical code.
